Evolution of Manta Catamarans

Brent Hermann, broker for Catamaran Company, actually wrote a decent article "Manta Catamarans: Evolution of the Great American Brand" last year in Multihulls Magazine. It provides a pretty good quick history of Manta if anyone is interested. It is available on the Catamaran Co web site with some pictures:

The birdie that talked to me said that Dan bought the company because he wanted his boat finished. That is how it got finished. He may have loved the Manta and all like the article says but he wanted his boat finished so he could use her.

My condolences to his survivors.

I do not have a set of corporate purchase/sell dates but that stuff is online.

PS. If I had the money and was to cruise full time I would want a Manta for it.
