We know that Bob has retired to build his Slim and go cruising. The Professor has earned it and I look forward to seeing his boat in the Whitsundays.

I'm sure I was not the only one caught by surprise when he shut up shop, with no real warning. I was seriously contemplating buying plans for the 10m plywood Slim. (The only Oram boat that I could dream of affording!)

A member here, 44C, is (I believe) in touch with Bob. I wonder if Bob would be interested in selling stock plans, on the understanding that the buyer does not get any of his time or input?

It would help his cruising kitty, and there are enough people on multi forums to ask for advice. Also there are a few professional builders who are experienced with building his designs.

I don't think Bob would sell his plans without support. It's just not in his nature.

He's quite possibly dropping in this week, so I'll see what he says.

Thanks mate. I was thinking of something along the lines of selling plans/kits by ATL, much the same way that Roger Simpson's plans are available from Boatcraft.
