Windrose

Hello... Im thinking about getting a 22' windrose... never own a sailboat and just getting back into sail after not sailing for years... The boat is in good shape , but the keel looks pretty rusty.. can you have them reconditioned or replaced or leave it... Thanks for any help...

Re: Windrose

Krowbar, I own a Windrose 20 which also has a swing keel. You can have it sandblasted and repainted. Cost me $300 to have it done. Check the cable while you're at it and make sure it's in good shape. If not replace it while reconing the keel. I bought my boat with the idea of getting a larger one later but like my Windrose so much that I don't see ever selling it for an upgrade. They are really good boats for the money.
