My wife and I are in beginning stages of putting our cruising dream into action. We spend our free time (very little due to our the attention our 3 sons require) reading blogs and various forums about cruising families.

I spend my summers away from the family, running a tug for a marine transportation company in western Alaska. Without access to the internet, I can't hop on here or read the blogs I'm so addicted to. I need to fill a couple shelves with books.

Hoping to get some recomendations here. What are the best books out there on sailboat maintenance? Books on purchasing used wisely? Basically anything with information for an ingorant, inexperienced person with lots of time to read.

I have plenty of good fiction....and some of what I'm looking for, just looking for more information that will help us choose wisely next fall.
