Re: Rasmus 35 buying advice.

Should the particular boat be sub prime you can look around for a HR Monsun. Monsuns and Rasmuses are alike in terms of design & build. If a clean & sound Rasmus can't be had, a Monsun may tick some of the right boxes too.

Let us know how it went.

Cheers,
b.

In Europe are so many Halberg Rassy's and also for sale. Younger ones are HR 34 or 36 and the larger ones.

Re: Rasmus 35 buying advice.

I've owned a 1974 Rasmus Sloop for 5 years, liveaboard part-time, and like it. I've written a bit about it in my signature line blog or you can read Adventures of Joli' Elle
If the Rasmus style appeals to you, Snowbird looks pretty nice. They are solid high quality boats and I've spent very little on upgrades or maintenance.

Re: Rasmus 35 buying advice.

We owned a Rasmus, and we loved it! We also owned a 40 ft steel boat, but it was always the Rasmus that we liked best. The aft cabin is great. If you sail 2 people it is good for storage and guests, and because of that it felt a lot bigger than it is. It is a sturdy boat you can trust. Good luck!
