Pacific Seacraft Mariah (and surveyor question)

Hi All,

We've just made an offer on a 1978 Pacific Seacraft Mariah. She's a bare bones boat, but very reasonable priced, and seems to be in good shape (we'll have her surveyed soon). Does anyone have any information or experienceto share about these boats?

Also she's in San Diego (Shelter Island Boatyard) and, not being from that area, we'd greatly appreciate any recommendations of good surveyors in the region.

I would suggest you look for a surveyor who is located outside the immediate market, perhaps from Dana Point northward. Ideally you want to use someone who does not know the local yacht brokers in San Diego.
