Perhaps look for a small protected lagoon and anchor there?

Europe's quite a large place with a big variation in climatic conditions. How about a clue where you want to be?

My boatyard does a winter haul out deal.

My boat is on the hard in Yacht Port Cartagena in Cartagena, Spain. A year ago, when I researched prices in the Med, this was one of the cheapest marinas.

Re: cheap mooring/hard stand

Hey,

There are allot of cheap places to moor/berth over the winter. It all depends on where you want to be. I am tend to try a different place every year. This year I am in La Duquesa (spain). I usually do an internet search or email some marinas to see if they will do a deal. This year I found my berth by using UltimateBerths.com it is actually some ones private berth who has gone to the Caribbean for the winter. There is a fair few listed on the site both from actual marinas and also from private people all over Europe.

I am also going to try and negotiate a deal for lifting my yacht onto the hard stand so that I can scrub her bottom.

Good Luck
