Amel manuals

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have access to Amel 50’s owner’s manual in PDF form? Amel has been at the top of my preferred boats list and I wanted to get a deeper insight before making the final decision for an order. Especially the electrical wiring, some of the deeper technical questions are still on my mind. I also wanted to have that insight such that I figure out what upgrades I need before I approach the boatyard.

Waving my hand to all Amel owners out there as a highly likely Amel owner soon (hopefully) =)

Best,
Burak

Re: Amel manuals

I'll send it to you in DM.

Upgrades/options:

Davits from Amel. I would add in Sunpower Maxion 400W panels on the back. You can fit two, possibly 3 with a little creativity.

Lithium (it's like having an extra solar panel)

Watt and Sea Cruising 600 built into the hull.

Furler for Gennaker/code 0

Get the whisker pole set up on the mast

Powered winches upgrade

Sun shades on the boom

I'd always go for the electric galley but that's a personal choice.

Conversion option of main seating/table into extra sleeping/day bed for passages

I am also looking into the Amel 50 for some good time already. If someone could share the owners manual I would appreciate very much.

New here, thanks for this! We are looking at purchasing a 50 footer and Amel is high on the list along with Kraken and Bluewater (the old Hylas.) That latter two are new companies so the fact that Amel is well established is certainly a plus.

We have pretty much sailed on older boats up to now. I assume you have an Amel 50? Is a little thread drift allowed? May I ask how you like it? We are planning to live aboard and cross a few oceans.

I would also very much appreciate any Amel 50 and onboard systems manuals you have available via PM if still an option. Thanks!

Re: Amel manuals

Hi SV Tom Crean
I appreciate that your post here was a good while ago now. However, I wonder might I seek your help in a copy of the A50 owners manual please? It would be most helpful in my consideration.
By the way, your suggested options all make very good sense to me.
Thanks in anticipation
Best
