Videos from Desolation Sound ...

I have begun to upload some of the video we took during our trip to Desolation Sound BC last year. Check out the tides ripping through Hole in the Wall.

Desolation Sound really is a magical place!

Beautiful area. How deep is the cut through Hole in the Wall?

Deep, Averages 400 feet which is good because we found ourselves focused on boiling currents and large whirlpools. Todd thought the larger whirlpools could hold our boat and perhaps drag it under ... not likely.

BTW I continue to post more videos every day.

Re: Videos from Desolation Sound ...

Just finished uploading the rest of the (50 plus) videos of Desolation Sound BC.

Kind of like watching paint dry and a great way to fall asleep if you are suffering from insomnia. Come to think of it sailing is often a lot like that!

I did this because when I was looking for video of Desolation Sound in anticipation of the trip, there was little to be found.
