Sailboat Cover

I will soon be taking delivery of a Freedom F-250c, 25 ft. trailerable cruising sailboat. LOA: 24'3"; Beam: 8'4"; Mast: 30' (approx.). For weeks I have been searching for a source for a cover for this boat (unsuccessfully). I am not particularly concerned about covering it while it is being towed, but I want to cover it while it is parked. As such, it COULD be a cover for a "mast-down" configuration. However, I am hopeful that I might be able to arrange for "mast-up" parking, so cover for that configuration, as n option, would be nice. Does anybody have a suggestion of where I could obtain such a cover?

Have one made.. you can see a cover we build for a ski boat with a tower.. the cover goes down to the frame rails... www.stitches-n-snaps.com Just find a local canvas shop and tell them what you are looking for.. The custom cover we built for the ski boat cost him around 1200.00........

Why dont you just buy some tarpaulins with tie holes... or do you want to be 'posh'....

"Posh" has little to do with it. But, I don't do "redneck' very well, either. Nor do I keep old washing machines on my front porch or old cars up on blocks in my front yard.

Nothing "Redneck" about a couple of canvas tarps secured in a seamanly fashion.... they've been used by sailors for centuries... just get the appropriate sizes and they'll be almost as good as a $2000+ custom job.
Don't have car on bricks or old washing machines in my front/backyard either...
They all sank

To "boatman61" ... Thanks for your last response. I was a little tentative at posting here. A lot of the threads I have read sound like some of these guys have sails (with battens) stuffed up "you know where". It's nice to see that there is a sense of humor in the sailing community.

Apparently i violated some taboo. I have received a proposal for a cover. I gave details of from whom (in an earlier reply), but it hasn't been posted. Is that a "no-no"? If so, I'm not sure how I let people know.

LOL... know what you mean.. but you've got to allow for the Brits, Aussies, Kiwis etc on here... most here are humourous, just sometimes misunderstood... and taken seriously...
Its the one s from Jersey you gotta watch out for... the "Goats" make em a bit weird....

to "boatman61" ... thanks for the advice (and the guidance). I hadn't thought about Brits, Assies, etc. My Grandma was British, and SHE had a sense of humor, but the only "sailing" that she did was aboard steamships. I was born in Jersey (NEW Jersey), but I always thought I had a good outlook on life. I'm not an expert on "Jersey", but "New Jersey" could sour anybody's disposition.
BTW, they finally posted my reply with the cover quote info. It wasn't meant to be a commercial .. just information. I had spent DAYS looking for a source.
