Hurth Tranny dipstick threads

Checking if anyone has the same experience I have been having for quite a long time: When I unscrew the dipstick to check the fluid level, and I am finished and want to put it back, somehow it will not thread right away. Today I have been playing with it to no avail. It looks as if it does not fall in place to thread in. I try inclining it a little one way or the other but it will not go. In the past I have had the problem but finally it does go in.
Does anyone has a special trick or a reason for this?
Thanks
