It's a small world. When we cruised in New Caledonia, we met KatieKat and her crew at the dock in Noumea. KatieKat has made some awesome passages downunder sailing to Tasmania from Australia and across the Tasman to New Zealand. They also cruised with a catamaran pontoon paddle pedal boat lifted up on their stern. It was truely amazing to see their pedal powered dinghy. They have done a lot of big time sailing in one of the smaller catamarans (Seawind 1000), and I congratulate their ingenuity. Check out their paddle powered dingy (powered by bicycle pedals).

They are proof that it's not the size of the boat that's important. It's the size of the dreams that really count.

This one is by far my favorite or at least a close tie with Voyages of Sea Trek and I apologize for the shameless self promotion

There are other sailing sites?

Maybe I could have divided up my posts to other sites, sparing these readers the agony of having to scroll past them....

Sean, Don't do that. What else would we do for entertainment from time to time?

Re: FAVORITE SAILING WEBSITES??

Well... since we are all self promoting..

Preparing for launch - The adventures of the sailing vessel Heron

We get about 35 views per day and have zero Facebook friends (since we don't use social media)

We are going motorless and simple in the way we are building our boat, and our plan is travel the world leaving as little a footprint as possible.

Re: FAVORITE SAILING WEBSITES??

i am SAILING and fixing boat and checking weather -- not looking at other folks's lives under microscopes..i am doing my thing -- and enjoying my individuality. may the weather remain storm free--lol will be a difficult reality this summer--- many storms predicted both atlantic and pacific-- smooth sailing.
