Charter Skipper, How much is standard tip (BVI)?

Hi,
what is standard level of tip for your skipper?
I remember when we chartered a boat in Croatia, the skipper didn't get much fixed salary and was heavily dependent on the tip he received from the guests.

We are leaving next week and I am trying to sum up the amount of cash needed.
