Cayo Costa, Captiva or Sanibel Provisioning Stops?

Hey There

Any suggestions to where one can tie up to provision in these areas will be appreciated. We have a dingy. Thanks

log into ActiveCaptain.com and you can see which options best suit you. I've found AC to be the best resource when I did my trip round

I can't speak for tie-ups at Sanibel and Captiva, but there are no provisions available on Cayo Costa. The island is partially a state park, and partially private. The ranger station sells ice, candy and a few trinkets, but that's about it!

At southern end of Pine Island there is a restaurant with docks (St.James City) where you could likely hitch a ride a couple of miles to a large food store and also get a good sandwich.

Cayo Costa is a beautiful stop though, great park with fantastic trails and beaches.

Hum. I would anchor off or stop into the Cape Coral marina. There is a supermarket just a mile up the road from the marina at cape coral parkway, along with a west marine. Gas and diesel at the marina too. Sanibel has a few small markets. But no where to access shore from an anchorage that I'm aware of. Pretty shallow outside the channel's except for a few areas.

Or Fort Myers beach, though the supermarket is 2 ish miles away from there.

A stop at Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key is a must. You can anchor off Useppa and dinghy over to Cabbage Key.

If you go past the bridge to Boca, I think about 2 miles there is a park on the right that is close to a grocery store, check the charts and it should show up, if you were to pay dockage at Gaspirilla Marina the dock guy may lend his car to go to the store, did it for me once...
