After a couple of weeks painting the bottom and waxing the topsides we're in the water and on our way again. It's nice to be back aboard, currently in Vero Beach and will move on to Miami this week and then across to the Bahamas. Not too many problems with the boat after six months on the hard. Another cruiser wasn't as lucky. He came back to a boat (Corbin 39) that was flooded to over the engine. It must have rained a lot and his scuppers got clogged with leaves so the water on deck rose to some ports which leaked a bit and over the months it filled the boat. It was a write-off so he got the insurance money and bought the boat back from the insurance company and now the yard is fixing it up but he's not going cruising this season. A bit harder to get on line this year, more and more folks are securing their wifi so it's a bit more difficult to "borrow" a connection although the new antenna really pulls in a lot more possibilities.
