I think the phone was smart till the end... But the same, sadly, cannot be said about me.
I bobbed up unharmed and returned to my station in the real world !!!

I used the saildroid app last night I didnt feel it was accurate in the speed measurement. Any one using this app have better luck?

Lot's of fun answers here...as a software engineer, lot's of laughs. Apps. Love 'em. Use 'em. At the end of the day, you have to sail. What works for you? Than use it.

I, too, am looking for the perfect "app." The problem is that develompment in this area for iWhatever and droid is so rapid that it is hard to keep track. On the Apple front, drink the apple juice and take the upgrades. On the Droid front...write your own? Seriously, the path is not as well deliniated, so you just have to try them out. Some work well, others...not so much. Just my opinion.

BlueNMEA allows you to use your phone as a gps receiver for your computer.
This can then be used for a number of things like SeaClear chartplotter.
Earth NC is a great chart program. I like it better than Navionics.
