Anything You Can Put In Garden Hose Sprayer To Kill Spiders?

Have a garden hose spray attachment made to put car wash soap on a vehicle. Is there anything I can spray safely on my sailboat to knock down the spider webs and keep them off???

Do not want to harm the sailboat naturally.

Been spraying around the boat with canned pesticides. No effect.

Any ideas?

Dish soap will repel spiders. Although I'm not sure it will work better than chemicals and you'd want to make sure you rinse walking surfaces before you set sail.

I find Nippon, an ant killer , available in aerosol , to be brilliant at killing spiders , its made by Vitax a UK company so ut may be difficult to find elsewhere. It leaves a residue so they dont come back either,

Well, we generally use a flip-flop for that, and I guess that you could put one in a garden sprayer, but I think it would then be harder to use!!

(Sorry Gary.... couldn't stop myself)

Good luck with getting rid of them. We've gotten infested with spiders after sitting out a flood on teh Clarence river in NSW. I think they were on the piles of weed that accumulated on the bow and chain. Real nuisance!

Cheers,

Jim

Please don't poison us. If you don't want spiders, anchor out.

They come out to make their webs at sunset.
Best time to commit them to Davy Jones.

I have heard that BOUNCE fabric softener strips will keep them away.

"Suspend SC" insecticide, you will need to mix it and apply with a sprayer. $$

You need an arachnicide such as Permethrin. Insecticides have little effect on arachnids (spiders)

soapy water kills arthropods, which is what spiders are.

I have used a combination of dish soap and rubbing alcohol to spray them off the boat. Seems to work for me
