Anyone in Brunswick GA, USA

Wondering if anyone can report conditions as Hurricane Matthew passes by in Brunswick GA. Our boat in The Brunswick Landing Marina and we are eager for on the ground information as to how the people, the town, and the boats are doing.

Re: Anyone in Brunswick GA, USA

My boat is also in BLM.
Around 5pm I called the marina office.
The feedback was that they did brilliantly - at least up to then, with no damage to boats or the marina reported.
The main storm hit around 2pm, just as the tide was turning from high.
Apparently the outgoing tide counteracted surge sufficiently that it was not dangerous up to then.
Low tide was around 8pm at which time the winds would be out of the west, pushing the surge back.
Hopefully it remained positive.

ditto above. my cat is there also
I saw a photo on Facebook of docks from the parking lot, looks like the ramps are horizontal, and about four or five feet left on the pilings. water was over the rocks though and up around the picnic tables.
so far so good.

Re: Anyone in Brunswick GA, USA

Our boat (Solana) is at BLM. When I checked Facebook, BLM posted a message saying all was well with 40mph winds yesterday. They also said they would check all the boats and docks at first light. YAAY Brunswick Landing Marina!! These guys are the best!

Re: Anyone in Brunswick GA, USA

BLM just posted a notice that the marina is back open, and OK with some damage to only two boats.

Another source says that Glynn county is still closed to entry from the surrounding counties

Some great friends of ours (Hunter & Susan) just checked my boat at 1pm today. Great news, all is well, batteries are up even though power has been off.

Re: Anyone in Brunswick GA, USA

Sorry for the thread drift. My thread isn't posting, possibly because my account is new..

My boat sustained major damage in the storm. It doesn't have insurance because the interior wasn't complete (no one would insure it).

It's the orange catamaran at Green Cove Springs Marina.

I'm not there right now, but am being told I need immediate pictures of the damage because the marina's equipment failed and the damage is probably covered by their insurance (inadequate moorings).

Could someone please take pics of the orange catamaran at Green Cove Springs Marina in Green Cove Springs, FL?

It's in a pile of boats up against the seawall and still attached to its mooring.

I am willing to pay/hire someone to do so.

Please text me if you want to be paid for pics or just are nice enough to send pics.

Number is 6 4 6 6 3 4 --------- 8 6 8 6

Thank you!!!
