advice flushing cooling system

my engine is fresh water cooled.

It is not overheating but I dont know when the PO serviced the cooling system.

my question is should i drain the coolant and use something to clean the system then refill with new coolant ?

If so do I have to worry about air locks in the coolant system ?

Or any other possible problems ?

thanks,

arch

Re: advice flushing cooling system

I do mine just as I do my car's, with flushing and descaling. There should be bleeder valves here and there to let out any trapped air once you're done.
