VERY lucky not to have fallen onto the concrete block visible. I must say though the supports look mickey. I can picture next time standard supports in our local boatyard that does not get hurricanes.

Is there even such a thing as a "hurricane hole" for 185mph winds...

I see people use the "hurricane hole" phrase for places and anchorages that I wouldn't want to be in with a 40kt blow. I think the term is pretty watered down to mean anything that helps you sleep better at night. But a storm like Irma certainly is a wake up call to the "hurricane hole" definition.

My heart breaks for the people who had their lives turned upside down by Irma. It's hard to watch the photos and destruction.
