Cell/Data coverage Exumas

Hey folks just needing some recent intel on cell and or data coverage in the Exumas. We have a phone we bought from Batelco in Mymm last year and was curious if there is coverage further south in the Exumas. Thanks in advance.

Firsrly, do not need a BTC phone, any good GSM smart phone (unlocked) will work, just need a BTC SIM. Highly recommend you use a phone which has a hotspot capability.
The phone you have is probably ok, but the SIM is likely expired, BTC will retire a SIM card if no use seen on a number after 6 months.
Here is a synopsis of BTC coverage in Exumas.
-Most of great Exuma.
-can be sporadic between Barraterre and Little Farmers
-Little Farmers to Black Point to Stanial up to Compass pretty good.
-Land and Sea Park very Sparodic.
-Normans to Highborne good.

Bandwidth varies between 4G and 3G depending on number of boats in anchorage and number of users ashore.

Prices for prepaid data with BTC has been coming down steadily past 6 months. Best deal which has just shown up 2 days ago is unlimited data for 30 days for $35

We just got back to Florida ... the service is better than I expected and the price is right...like the previous poster said...and unlocked phone....my old iPhone 4 worked great as a hot spot....you are not far from good service anywhere in the Bahamas weather it's the exumas or abacos

Allens to Shroud Cay there is coverage. South of Shroud to around Bell Island no coverage. Cambridge Cay to Hog Cay, which is past Georgetown there is coverage.
All of Eleuthera and Long Island have coverage. The data may slow down in the fringe areas between towers but we could always get weather. Look at the data packages carefully since they change often. They just added unlimited for $35 good for 30 days.
