Cat Cay to Nassau

Have 6 1/2' Draft and wanting to cross from Gun/Cay Cay to Chubb Cay/Nassau.
Some charts suggest it is plenty deep but Explorer charts note a band of 1.8 M/<6' depth at about 79 degrees 13 min X 25 Deg 34 Min just East of Cat Cay.
Any one with factual experience re this area's depth??? Seems once across this area of about one NM no further problem.

Re: Cat Cay to Nassau

I crossed the bank from that exact spot on the way to Nassau. I draw the same as you, and had no problem. I stayed just to the south (100 yards) of the line in Explorer charts between the 2 waypoints. I should say the line is between 25'33.80N - 79'16.80W and 25'34.00N - 79'13.00W .......

Re: Cat Cay to Nassau

We have also made this exact crossing several times (although we have a shallow draft). We have gone right over that spot on the Explorer charts and have never seen any difference from the rest of the rumb line. It is all >8'.

YMMV, of course…
