There is a rumor that the entrance to Cucumber Marina is shallow. What is it really?

It varies due to silting and subsequent dredging. I would not count on any more than 5'.

Doris, a Lagoon 500 based there, goes bump in the channel sometimes. Her spec draft is just under 5', but of course no way to track her keels down mid-channel.

It is soft bottom so no big deal if you dredge a bit, but on a cat it can be a bit of a pucker inducer when only on hull runs aground and you make sudden turn in a very narrow channel.

I took a Leapord 47' thru last week no problems, but its only about 4.5' draft.

Re: Belize Chartering

If you decide to go to Sartineya, or Corasel, the controlling depth in Chetumal bay is 5 ft. I had to follow a sugar barge in to get to Sartinaya. Mac
