It's not exactly clear what you want to do, but if you are trying to get to Dinner Key or into Biscayne Bay from Hawk Channel, your best bet at any tide is Biscayne Channel (controlling depth about 9'). Angelfish Creek is your second best entry into Biscayne Bay with a controlling depth of 5' (so you may have to wait for a few hours with your keel). Everything else (Caesar's Creeek, Broad Creek, etc) is less than that. There is also Government Cut, but you will backtrack about 5 miles in each direction to get to Dinner Key or back into the bay.

We have 5 1/2 draft and sea tow told us not to use Angelfish Creek unless at high tide. Use Biscayne Channel. Well marked, deep, and wide. We have gone in at night as well.

Don't want to argue with SeaTow (and I recommend Biscayne Channel as well), but I have been through Angelfish many times (perhaps hundreds) and have never seen less than 5' (yes, my sounder is calibrated). But if there is no reason to go in there, then Biscayne is a great choice and unless there is a strong easterly and substantial swell, there is no problem at all there. pete
