Looking for Calixta

Looking for Calixta. She left Luperon, Dominican Republic heading for Florida on 5/21. Can anyone confirm if they crossed paths and when/where she was.
Thanks

Re: Looking for Calixta

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, dsh.

A few more details might help.
Boat make/model
Crew names

Is “Calixta” a Bavaria 38, hailing from Liverpool?

Re: Looking for Calixta

Calixta is around 37 ft from Kemah, TX. Her captain is David Smedley. Unsure if there is 1 or 2 crew aboard.

Re: Looking for Calixta

David Smedley, is from Kemah, Tx. Where he was a realtor for many years. Then he moved to Dunedin, Fl for 9 years. It is a small world, he knows Laurel Nash from our sail club. David is presently looking for a companion and sailor to continue South until he can no longer do it, or runs out of money. David's boat is Calixta, a 1986 Bayfield 36.
David's Radio Call Sign is WDD6858
Calixta’s USCG ID is 910292

In 2014/2015, David wrote a series of articles, for Southwinds Sailing Magazine (some pics)

Maybe someone on the Caribbeanradio net could ask after, or contact him.

Here's hoping someone has seen him recently, or can provide up to date information.

Re: Looking for Calixta

Good news. Just heard from David Smedley. He’s safe and Calixta is being towed in to West Palm Beach, Florida.

We're all glad that things are working out well for you, and your father.
Happy to hear that he's safe and well.
It'd be nice (but not necessary) to eventually hear how he came to be overdue, and in need of a tow.
