Wanting to buy 50-60' Cat

Hello All!

My wife and I are looking to buy a sailing catamaran in the 50-60' range in the very near future. Location is not too important, as it's part of the adventure.
We are flexible on age, requiring dagger boards with some reasonable performance (would prefer more race boat than a condo). I plan to spend a little time in the roaring 40's, so sea manners would be required.
I'm open to custom builds but will be picky as I don't want something to self-destruct while waving at Cape Horn and insurance can be a challenge. I've built aircraft, boats, and race cars, so a little work is ok, however, I want to sail and not spend years building.
Like everyone, I'm looking for a unicorn, under $500k USD.

If you know of anything, please let me know or point me in a good direction.
Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Flying Kiwi did you spot this one? You won't need to worry about a mast and sails the topsides are like an all-in-one deal. I can see you will have no problem waving to Cape Horn when you round it in this gem.
Cheers

PM if of strong interest. I am NOT the Owner, but maintain the contact with him.

Is this a battle cat from Mad Max? Thanks, but I'll pass on this one.

Re: Wanting to buy 50-60' Cat

I viewed this boat a little more than a month ago. Some aspects didn't fit my family's needs, so we did not make an offer. Overall, I was impressed with the boat where it mattered most.
