Moody 471

Previously owned by a British Lord and a member yacht of the Royal Yacht Squadron, the "George Harwood" is a very attractive yacht with Moody's classic lines. She was one of the last Moodys to be built at their yard in Swanwick. The 471 Custom has earned a great reputation as a solidly built bluewater cruiser and would be a perfect vessel for anyone wanting to spend extended periods cruising. This centre cockpit cutter has a conventional slab 3-reef mainsail (new in 2019), genoa and staysail, and electric genoa winches. She offers very comfortable accommodation with plenty of space and exceptional lockers/storage area. "George Harwood" can be viewed in Sicily. £79,900.

Re: Moody 471

Since you are so far away, and maybe wanting to stimulate enough interest for someone potentially having to fly over to Sicily for the sale, some more information concerning the genset, engine as well as hours, and additional upgrades. How old are the batteries? What type nav equipment/intruments and how old is the system? Also photos of the well maintained engine compartment, generator, cockpit. When was the vessel hauled out or the bottom redone? Rigging replaced in last 5 years? Thanks. I does look like a very nice yacht but you do not give the date of manufacture.
