1981 Islander freeport 41 (LOA 48)

Now on EBAY auction, no reserve starting at 15.000 usd !!
This Islander Freeport ketch is about 48' overall (Davits and bowsprit) located in Panama, Pacific side about 40 miles north of Panama City in La Vista Marina.
until October 2017 it was registered under US Coastguard registration, as I am not a US citizen this registration was stopped. I am sure it an easily be re-registered under that same registration, if not I can register in Germany, de-register and with that paper you can register again anywhere you like. Contact to the previous owner is good if any assistance is needed in that area.
November 2017 we installed a brand new dodger / bimini (Light Grey sumbrella) a brand new Simrad Autopilot with Electro-hydraulic ram.
we bought a new 9.9 Yamaha Enduro for the dinghy and we cut out the fridge box from the kitchen counter in favour of a stand-up fridge-freezer.
it runs of the housebank on a 4000 Watt inverter, that allows also some appliances to run (cellphone / laptop chargers etc)
We put a new matrass in the aft cabin, and new linnens for the beds and pillows.
in Ecuador we had the boat lifted out and took care of some blisters on the bottom (cut out, dried out, refibreglassed) and gave the bottom a new barrier coat and antifouling.
We replaced the cutlass bearing and re-varnished all the outside brightwork.
back in Panama we replaced the complete standing rigging, all the halyards, and demounted all chainplates, inspected / cleaned them, and replaced all bolts for the chainplates.
Headsail was examined by sailmaker, and UV cover replaced by a similar-to-bimini/dodger color grey UV strip.
inserted a new fueltank - in tank system (old fueltank was getting pinholes in the bottom) a new watertank had been installed already previously
in 2003 the vessel came to Panama with a broken (original 85 hp) engine. The owner back then had a new Yanmar 100HP installed, complete with a new transmission. the engine hours are now at about 1600. The vessel never really left Panama anymore, it was used as a liveaboard, and made small trips to San Blas, Islas Perlas etc.
Currenty the boat is in top shape, some TLC could still be done on the inner varnish, the dinghy is patched heavily. a good dinghy (Caribe, 2 years old with cover) will go along with the boat if the price is right.
the two sailcovers could be replaced with Light grey ones to match the bimini / dodger and make it look great altogether.
There is no AC or watermaker, nor a generator on board. I found none of those necessary (watertank 188 gallons) but the engine room is very, VERY spacious and could easily accommodate a generator and/or AC unit. a watermaker could be placed here too possibly, or under the aft or forward bed
the forward original bathroom has been used as storage for the last 20 years, it has no toilet in it but this could all easily be re-instated. the bathroom sinks in this model are all in the cabins rather than in the bathrooms.
the picture shows partially older versions, where the "old" bimini was still installed. also the rust bleeding stains on the hull are gone now, they came from sheared chainplate-bolts which are now all replaced with the new rigging.

Asking 35.ooo usd, although as previously mentioned I have entered her in an ebay auction, NO RESERVE, starting at 15.000 usd
