Northstar Auto Pilot Problem

We have an auto pilot that we bought last year in Turkey. We saile from Turkey to Cyprus and then to Egypt no problem. Then it just started going crazy, we thought we had fixed it aswe found an air bubble and removed it, now it works for a few miles then goes crazy again we cannot see where any air can be getting in any ideas much appreciated as we have a lot of sailing to do and cant afford to go back to Turkey for the fitters to check it many thanks

Autopilot shrink?

Seriously though, with no symptoms to go by, check every electrical connection, check your battery voltage, make sure you don't have any ferrous metal items stored near the autopilot compass. Make sure all mechanical connections are tight, that the rudder feedback unit is mounted properly...

Let us know what you find.
