Help with 120VAC to 24v DC

I need a relay or contactor to control a 24V DC pump from a 120V AC source. This is for a watermaker installation. The control board for the feed pump is 120V but I am going with a 24V pump and would like to keep the automatic control option.

Any ideas, part # and how-to will be much appreciated

Cheers.

Thanks for the link. The pump draws about 10A.
Looking at the models on your link, it looks as the output is 120 ac and input 24 dc. I would need the reverse?? I need to go in with 120ac and out to 24dc

The control voltage is variable AC on all these relays .

Re: Help with 120VAC to 24v DC

Solid states are nice in that they don't have bits to corrode, but not terribly efficient. I like these in a marine environment:

McMaster-Carr

although you still have to worry about corrosion between the relay and the socket. Lots of other options out there depending on where you are/what suppliers are nearby.

Just want to be clear that it is a relay you are looking for? You have an existing 24VDC circuit and are just looking to turn it on/off using a signal from the 120VAC output?

I think that the relay that Dsanduril chose is too weak for 24v @10 amp i would go with a much more robust relay maybe 1hp minimum

Re: Help with 120VAC to 24v DC

I chose it because the OP said 10A, and the relay is rated 12A@24VDC. But certainly you can get a higher rated relay or contactor if needed.
