charging AGM batteries

I have refitting for the World ARC. I am advised to use 6 volt AGM (Mastervolt) batteries for a total of 800 amp hours of storage.
\They made the statement :
"200 amps of charge power and that should let you fill the top 25 percent in roughly an hour of charge time. "
I will have a lot of charging power, solar, Watt and Sea generator, 200 amp engine alternator but from my little knowledge getting that last 25% into the batteries is not just dependent on the amps delivered because batteries will not take all the amps delivered when they are nearly full.
So is this true or likely to be near true:
200 amps of charge power and that should let you fill the top 25 percent in roughly an hour of charge time.

Re: charging AGM batteries

agm's take more charge then flooded. but you not going to get the last 25 in an hour. you'll get from 50-75 in an hour. maybe 75-90 in an hour. but who really knows. you never charge 85%+ from an engine or gen unless it's already running for other things anyways.
