Cable Length for Inverter?

I am installing a new Outback inverter. Outback says no more than 10ft of 4/0 cable.

Where I want to put the inverter would be closer to 15ft. I have an alternate location but would prefer the longer one.

Is 10ft the end limit, or am I ok with the longer run?

I believe if you go to 2/o cable you will be fine

For 3% Voltage Drop, at 12VDC nominal:
A 4/0 Cu cable is suitable for about 690 Amps at 10 feet total cable length (Positive + Negative).
At 15 feet total length, it's suitable for about 460 Amps.
At 15 foot distance, hence 30 feet total cable length (15' Pos + 15' Neg), it's good for about 230 Amps.

I should have mentioned that I have a 24v system (550amps @24v).

#4/0 cable loaded to 550 Amps at 24VDC is good for 25 Feet of Cable (2 runs @ 12.5')
