Lagoon 450 joint cracking - water selector cupboard

Rolf pointed this out to me, so it occurs on a few L450s and I have finally got on to fixing it. If you look inside and up and to the right in the water selector cupboard in the port aft cabin you can look to see if the wood to hull joint has cracked. There was also cracking in the joint below but can only see from the cabin viewing hole.

The fix was to pull the cabin wall panels off (the secret is to pull from the bottom at one corner and it has very strong Velcro). There is a viewing hole but need to cut another next to the joint. We used FIX15 adhesive/sealant so as to still allow flex, but I am not convinced this is the best fix. I will now monitor the joint. Pictures below.

No surprise for me, those Bene group boats are glued with plexus, the green stuff in your pick craked, and honestly the only fix for the long run is to fiberglass the bulkheads to the hull properly or live with a boat with dislodged bulkheads ,, but you can use plexus again in the crack, that gooop of white sealant is doing nothing.... Cheers,

Have you contacted Lagoon to see if this is a warranty matter. You have 5 years on the hull.

Just checked mine and all is ok.
