Re: Lagoon 380 Owners and Fans

Hey BrainM.
its not how the main hoist rope goes, its the thin line lifting the top of the Flathead main sail up in the end when hoisting it up.
And my Dealer did not know. i think i have to make it a bit longer, i just want to know where it runs. From top of the ring on the main, and into top bolt or bottom bolt/pin in the top wagon ? and then down to the second wagon from the top. ?

and have a good trip over.

Re: Lagoon 380 Owners and Fans

I know it is scandalous isnt it - "the ashtray is full" hee hee :-) Seriously, I really like it, so it is a positive thing, and the next one will for sure be a Lagoon, they have impressed me. All my life I have been sailing and I am a fussy character, but ... the anchor winch and anchor have a perfect setup ... the steering system - I had two engineer friends one of which is THE sailing superyacht steering system specialist, and he was impressed and had no comments ... I have never sailed for two thousand miles with a boat and had ZERO hassle and problems - autopilot worked ... davits work very well and clamp boat well (the newest generation davits) .... the lockers are ideally placed ... hold the fenders in right place .... I am by the way glad I put "shelves" in as a little inbetween deck in the super high bow lockers - so that I do not need to get into them to retrieve the fenders ... everything just works well and it is true what they say that the 380 sails well and fast ... if it does not sell I will have more great sailing, but I do want a bigger one just for having a lot of friends around, it would be nice to have a bigger cockpit ... in the Med it is fun and easy for them to fly into airports around the coast. But I admit, it is scandalous luxury !

Re: Lagoon 380 Owners and Fans

REF from Brainm on 450 topic, so i moved it
Careka - the good news is - it is dead easy to do the job. Just remove old calorifier, put new one in same place (plenty of space) then run two hoses from eberspaecher nearby into third coil, fits with hose clips. Not a big job and you will love it up there in that beautiful part of the world (want to do a boat swap sometime or if you need crew just call I will fly to you !)

----------Thanks BrainM.
Well that is a nice move, 50 liters will be plenty off warm wather, so i will look into it, a nice jobb for me to do in the winther.

Re: Lagoon 380 Owners and Fans

I had an engineer do it - it was not easy to find a big three coil (instead of standard 2 coil). I was quite busy working doing my "normal" job so don't have any further detail sorry, did not find anything in my manuals and papers stack which i did go through for you. How did you get on with the mainsail thing I sent you information on in a PM ? now that we are talking - how long does the sailing season last in Baltic ? When start/finish ? thanks

Looks a little "squeezy" So far away from where we are & a little "tight" to what we are used to. Still what a different experience. Have fun!
