Re: Transatlantic - December - Canaries-Caribbean

Thanks for the extra info Boatman, when I get closer to the date I will reference this and look into further detail. And Sinbud There is no way for me to leave sooner because of my job. I really hope we get some good weather though.

Re: Transatlantic - December - Canaries-Caribbean

Hi there, are you still looking for crew? I am a qualified YM offshore/ocean grad I have 5000+ miles at sea but I need some real yachting experience. I am immediately available so just let me have some details if you are interested.

make sure you have a trip line on the anchor if you try anchor in Peniche (and a surfboard for the waves outside the harbour )
Sines is a great anchorage too, just outside the marina

Re: Transatlantic - December - Canaries-Caribbean

Thanks for the responses everyone we are full on crew ATM, but will respond if we open up more slots.

We are unsure of the "exact route" we plan to take, just the general direction right now. The wind can change our direction for sure.

Thanks for the tips on places to see, we will add this to the list and if in reach we will stop for the night.

Cheers!
