Crew Wanted: Experienced Captain / Small Sailboat from Annapolis to Halifax, NS

Hello,

My husband and I have no sailing exp but do have boating experience and have been cruising and living aboard our 34 foot Hunter sailboat for 18 months. We have cruised from the Keys to MD and are looking for a Captain to help us take the boat offshore and get her to Halifax. We've been in the ICW and our pace is too slow. We want to learn to sail and help in this process. We are easy to get along with and excited about the adventure. We are both 39 years old, healthy and able to help in anyway.

We would like to leave Annapolis by approx. June 24th (weather dependent) and try to be in Halifax within a few weeks. We will cover reasonable travel costs and all expenses on the boat. We may be able to pay a few hundred dollars in stipend but that's all. We will take care of all meals and cleaning so you're job is to help us sail and navigate the seas home. The boat is insured.

You must have extensive sailing and bluewater experience and north east atlantic cruising exp is preferred. We would prefer to have someone from the MD area so we can meet and discuss prior to departure.

The sailboat is in great shape and you will have your own sleeping berth. The engine runs well and the sails are in great shape. There are no issues with boat maintenance.
