For Sale: Mooring sized for a 36', 14,000 lb. sailboat, set in 2007 in about 11' at low in Mackeral Cove, Swans Island, Maine. It consists of a granite block of about 4,000 lbs, 1.5" staple through the block, 20' of 1.25" long link chain, 10' of 5/8" mooring chain, 20' of 1/2" mooring chain, a 24" polyball float and a 3/4"X15' pennant. Mooring is convenient to the town-maintained dinghy floats, the dock and terminal for the Maine State car ferry that runs from Bass Harbor to Swans Island. The ferry connects with a free shuttle bus for wide access to mainland towns and conveniences. The island is situated in the heart of one of the best cruising grounds on the east coast.
