Hood Roller Furling Gear

1980's era Ted Hood "Sea Furl" model roller furling gear, off my Westsail 32. Unit has seen very little use and is in nice shape, all metal and ruggedly built, set up to use Norseman fittings. The lower section of foil has slight bend incurred during shipping, (Could Be Straightened). Have origional manual. $500.00 buyer pays shipping.

It would help if you give the max length and size of the forestay!

cburger,
Did you ever sell your Seafurl furling gear? I also have Hood Seafurl on my 79 CSY 33 and I believe the bearings have worn out and require replacement. I contacted Hood, but their manufacturer no longer is in business. If you still have the system, I would be interested in discussing purchasing your equipment.

I will email you some pics of the gear if you provide an address. I do not have the foil any longer, still ahve the bearing and drum. If it works for you and you pay the shipping charges you can have it free of charge.

cburger,
Sounds great to me. Email: alambertfl@bellsouth.net
Looking forward to receiving the photos. Will gladly pay shiping charges if it will work and I am guessing it will. Don't want to be pushy, but your immediate response would be helpful. I am scheduled to go into the hospital on Monday, 4/27 for some surgery and will be out of the loop for a short period. If you could include the shipping charges and where I can send a check in your email I will send it out immediately. Thanks again for all your help.
