a long term live aboard

I lived aboard my 34 ft cape dory for 5+ years. Baltimore was my home port. Moved ashore 20 years ago and would like to move onto a boat to live again like living in an apartment for an extended term 3-6 months. I prefer to be in the central to northern bay area but would consider new bern or beaufort areas.
Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.
Thank y'all
