Sailingmates Training?

I found a fellow, Peter, from Sailingmates.com on youtube. He is selling how to vids and books on what appears to be basic marine surveying of a sailboat.

Has anyone found this material to be helpful, or is there something better out there? We're looking to buy at some point in the next year or so, so time to prepare is ours.

Siryaksalot,

Check out "Surveying 101" or something like that on a CF search.

Then compare and contrast, and make up your own mind.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Re: Sailingmates Training?

Hallo!
Thanks for the responses. I'm not looking to become a surveyor, but as you said carstenb, to be able to weed out some of the boats I see before a MS comes in.
Thanks for the info!
