Wind Instruments, Mechanical or Ultra Sonic

thinking the next thing I want to add to the electronics on our boat is wind instruments. I currently have a garmin 740s . not sure overlaying wind on top of that small plotter will be so great. thinking it should have its own display, as well as be able to display on the garmin. anybody using any of the sonic annenometers? the no moving parts sounds good, but I have no experience here at all. any input or advice would be great,

I would go stand alone for wind. cant help you for the rest though.
