Updating software on Triton Display

How can I update the software on my Triton Display without using a Simrad or B&G MFD? Can this be done with a PC connected to an NGT-1 Gateway on NMEA2000?

The only two Navico products I have are the Triton display and Simrad AP28/AC42 autopilot. I would like to add the new Precision-9 compass as well, but will need to update software from time to time. Has anyone done this without the MFD/chartplotter? Thank you
