Thank you, will certainly reach out. The first one could be integrating a WEMA water tank sensor to Raspberry Pi, I need one myself so can write a document while on it ;-)

I have the vyacht wifi/multiplexer. It is based on the Carambola board, with built-in wifi. Runs Open-Wrt. vYacht essentially wired 2 serial inputs, uses gpsd to combine the streams and broadcasts over a local wifi network. I bought 4 or so years ago and the price then was reasonable. The Carambola board does not appear to be as popular as Pi or Arduino. I'm pretty impressed with Arduino, at the moment and exploring options on the boat.

Re: Raspberry Pi or ... for onboard computer

Carambola is pretty cool, a bit underpowered these days though. Sad that it is not very popular.

Tenedos et.al.
I think this would make a great group/thread. The last few years I've been a bit too busy with Corporate IT consulting to dabble with small form and sensor technology. I'm sneaking up on retirement now and would be happy to experiment, learn from others, and contribute.
