MFG of Distribution Panels and Dual Battery Main

Hello

I am installing an AC and a DC distribution panel on my Willard sailboat. I have looked at Blue Sea and Paneltronics. Are both of good quality? Is there an advantage of one manufacturer over another?

Blue Sea talks about a Dual Battery Main Distribution panel -- it is the red battery switch that seems to provide "DC circuit protection in addition to high ampere load protection" Since I am redoing the electrical, is this a good useful to install, or is it really not all that necessary. I know, this is subjective, but the write up caught my eye and I thought I would ask.

Thanks

Michael

e-Series Battery Switch Dual Circuit Plus™ - PN 5511e - Blue Sea Systems

Use this with a battery charging relay. Best upgrade I ever made.

I replaced my OEM AC and DC panels with Paneltronics about 5 years ago.
I am still extremely impressed and satisfied with both the quality of the products and the support/assistance from the staff.

I replaced all mine after a lightning strike and had good success with BASS Products, LLC | Electrical Control Panels and Accessories for the Marine and Specialty Vehicle Industries and found them to be very helpful and more competively priced
