Furuno 1815 Stand Alone Radar Requesting input

We are planning to place an order for a Furuno 1815 to replace our 1723C which has not worked properly even after repeated attempts by Furuno repair facilities to get it going.

Would appreciate any comments from owners of 1815 stand alone units. How do you like it? Pro and Cons?

We want a stand alone unit and the 1815 will drop into our radar post.

Many Thanks

Chuck
