Cell Phone Booster / Repeater Systems
Does anyone have any experience with the Digital Antenna brand PowerMax (or any other brand) cell phone repeater system such as the 4KMR-30M 50 db model? This system uses a (for example) spreader mounted antenna connected to an amplifier box which connects to a smaller antenna in the boat cabin. It supposedly takes the incoming and outgoing cell phone signals and boosts them thus increasing your range from the cell tower. Do these things actually work?
