2013 Annapolis fall sailboat show

I'm looking for advise on a hotel for the boat show">Annapolis boat show.
Something not to far away reasonable price and maybe a shuttle to the show and Baltimore airport. Any help would be wonderful.
Thanks
Brad

Look for hotels near Riva Rd. in Annapolis. reasonably priced and I believe there are shuttles operated between some of them and the boat show. Depending on how you plan to get around, Severna Park is also close.

You might be able to find a place this year because of the economy being in the tank. Normally the boat show week is booked solid almost a year in advance and folks end up staying out at the west end of town.

Try the Marriott on city dock (the same building as Pussers Landing) if you want to have the first class experience, but don't expect it cheap or easy to reserve. :-)

Wish I could help out with the shuttle thing. Recommend hitting the boat show web site to look for hotel info too.

I'll second FruiVita. The Riva area is now flush with hotels. Hampton, Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill, and a couple more. Just about any brand you like is there. Usually there's a shuttle from the nearby (walking distance) park & ride to the city dock.

There are a couple places downtown within walking distance, but expect much higher rates. Another option might be a B&B. There's a lot of those in the downtown area but, again, rates are up there.

Not sure I agree with the prediction about low turnout due to the economy. I expected that last year and it was packed. It might even be too late to book some places so you are wise to grab a room now if you can. There are a handful of B&Bs downtown but to echo the comments of others "they ain't gonna be cheap". Upwards of $250/night was the going rate last year.

I'm local to Annapolis so I haven't called around. I can say with assurance that the B&B's in Eastport and historic Annapolis are booked a year or more in advance by some of the vendors at the show. The Marriott is pricy and usually fully booked. The Riva Road hotels are a good plan but prices go up during boat show. You may find that a hotel in Hanover (near the airport) and a rental car are cheaper than a closer hotel. The Eastport Elementary School is the best deal around for parking close to the show.
