Florida East Coast surveyor recommendations?

I may be needing a survey on a boat located on the middle East coast of Florida. Does anyone have strong recommendations? Thanks.

If you go to the SAMS The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, Inc.® - (SAMS®) or NAMS An International Association of Marine Surveyors | NAMSGlobal web site you can find members of either or both these surveyor associations. They are largest accredited organizations. Call around for surveyors near where the boat is and chat on the phone. You can find out if they are available and if you think you'll get along. There are enough surveyors out there you should find one you like. You should find prices are similar. You pay mileage and travel so unless you are spending a whole lot of money I can't see flying one in.

Ask about experience with the type of boats you are considering.

yes

I've had 2 Privilege 39's surveyed by Bill Slattum, near Melbourne. He is very good.

I had a couple boat surveyed by Noel Miley including the one I ultimately purchased. I was very impressed with his reliability and his report.
