NOAA UNVEILS ‘STORM TRACKER’ TO FOLLOW TROPICAL STORMS AND HURRICANES
As the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season gets underway, NOAA today (June 1, 2005) introduced a new way to follow specific tropical storms or hurricanes. NOAA Storm Tracker will contain live links to advisories, tracking maps and satellite images of a particular storm that is projected to strike the United States or other nations in a storm’s path.

The “Starboard Home Chronicles” has some interesting & useful information:
http://www.starboardhome.net/

Including:

“About Onboard Weather” ~ By Peg and Tom Maynard aboard “Starboard Home”
http://www.starboardhome.net/Genintr...er/aboutwx.htm
"Obtaining weather onboard, both coastal and offshore, has been very important to Peg and Tom on their trip. Nowadays, there is an almost bewildering number of ways to get a likewise bewildering number of weather 'products' - reports and forecasts in voice, text and chart form. This is a summary, in no way complete, of those systems, some of which have been used onboard Starboard Home. Attached is a listing of URLs where more information may be found ..."
