As one small voice among others more knowledgeable, I have to say that any MOB maneuver that results in increased distance of the vessel from the MOB is ill-advised, and likely to contribute to the deadly outcome of not knowing where the MOB is. A quick stop of vessel way as soon as the MOB is announced is common sense.
